Attorney from St. Clair Shores Arraigned on Embezzling Nearly $400K From Teens

A St. Clair Shores attorney has reportedly been arraigned in Macomb Circuit Court for allegedly embezzling nearly $400,000 from a trust for two teenage boys.

A 40-year-old St. Clair Shores attorney charged with stealing nearly $400,000 from two teens has been arraigned in Macomb Circuit Court, according to a report by the Detroit Free Press.

Robert Buschmohle reportedly waived his arraignment and stood mute on one count of embezzlement of $100,000. He is allegedly wrote checks to himself from the fund over four years, draining it of all $389,000. 

According to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office, the mother of the boys attempted to contact Buschmohle as they neared the trust disbursement age of 19 to find out how they would receive their payments. After she was unable to contact him, she made a complaint to the Attorney Grievance Commission, who brought the matter to the Warren Police.

If convicted, Buschmohle could serve up to 20-years in prison. Buschmohle returns to court May 2, according to the paper.
