Weekend Events in the Shores

Relay for Life, June Fest, Walk for Parkinson's and Lake Shore graduation ceremonies are planned for this weekend.

Family events, fundraising walks and the blessing of the fleet are among the events planned this weekend in St. Clair Shores.
Here is a sample of some of the events. 

  • The annual Relay for Life kicks off at noon Friday, and runs until noon Saturday, at Blossom Heath Park.
  • Computer & Small Electronic Community Recycling Day at 9 a.m. Saturday at Jefferson Middle School
  • June Fest 2013 family-friendly street festival featuring dance and music performances, craft fair, made in Michigan food court and sidewalk sales starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.
  • The Jefferson Yacht Club will hold a blessing of the fleet at 10 a.m. Saturday behind the Tin Fish restaurant.
  • Michigan Parkinson Foundation I Gave My Sole for Parkinson's Walkathon and 5K run starts at 10 a.m. Saturday at the South Lake Athletic Field on 9 Mile.
  • Lake Shore High School will hold the graduation ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday in the gym due to the chance of inclement weather.
