Made in Michigan Market Coming to St. Clair Shores

The St. Clair Shores Senior Activities Center is planning a Michigan Market this September with food, drink and crafts made in the mitten state.

The St. Clair Shores Senior Activities Center is organizing a Made in Michigan Market Sept. 20-21 at the center.

Organizers are seeking vendors and sponsors for the event, which will be a fundraiser for the Senior Meal program, and will be held in conjunction with the apple pie fundraiser. The pies are made with hand peeled Michigan apples and cooked in the Michigan prepared pie shell from Achatz Pie Company.

The Made in Michigan Market will feature vendors offering handmade, Michigan-made products. Additionally, there will be a charity hockey game between Team GTJ and the St. Clair Shores Police and Fire department at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 21 at Civic Arena.

Additionally, there will be a Michigan-made beer and wine tent. The beer tent will be open on Friday from 6 - 10:30 p.m. and Saturday from 6 - 10:30 p.m., and there will be local bands and musicians including Air Margaritaville and Zooropa.

Those interested in sponsoring, or participating in the event, can contact Sue Fickau at fickaus@scsmi.net or (586) 498-2414.
