Fall Season

Shorter days and longer nights---This Autumn Season is the perfect time to consider balance and harmony , and how these forces are at work in your life?

This season of the the Autumn Equinox, is a balance of light and dark, day and night---and so represents balance in our inner and outer lives.

For many this is a time of high energy, perhaps a feeling of restlessness, or being a bit “off.” Yet, as there is harmony and balance in the Universe, so can there be harmony and balance in your life.  This is a time of year you can relish; a magical time of balance and plenty.  One could not miss the incredible Golden Harvest Moon, which is sometimes called the Corn Moon.

Autumn representing a turning point in our annual cycle of inner growth after an extroverted summer season, we begin to turn within as days grow shorter.  Considering this a time of balance—let us stop and relax and enjoy the fruits of our personal harvests, whether they be from toiling in our gardens, working at our jobs, raising our families, or just coping with the hustle-bustle of everyday life---it’s time to reflect and enjoy what can be a very special time of year as the Earth dances in cycles with the Sun and Moon creating alignments with special significance as the seasons change.

Since ancient times, the Spring Equinox has guided the planting of crops and the seeding of dreams.  At Autumn Equinox, we gather for the bounty of the harvest---a time to take note of completion, culmination and transition.  And now we prepare for the coming of winter. I invite you to utilize the longer darkness of the wintry season upon us to help you find a slower rhythm, letting this rhythm speak to you and arrive you to a state of deeper inner peace, balance and harmony. Remember that it is who we become that changes our lives and changes the world…not what we do.
