Tall Ship Lady Sets Sail into Heritage Bay

Local artist Diane Bowman, most often referred to as the Tall Ship Lady spoke to the La Societe des Jardiniers Garden Club from Grosse Pointe on November 14th.  In attendance were more than 20 members and friends whom she fascinated with her artistic talent and the history of tall ships. 

Diane’s presentation covered many famous ships including the Pride of Baltimore II, The Madeline, True North, Niagara, Concordia, Highlander Sea, Dennis Sullivan, Armed Sloop: Welcome and the H.M. Bounty.  Ship renderings were from actual photos done in pen and ink and water color. 

Heritage Bay in St Clair Shores displays the Tall Ship Lady’s entire collection with special requests available.
