The Kids Win at the Nautical Mile Casino Nights

Proceeds from the Nautical Mile Casino Nights will benefit the St. Clair Shores-based Wigs 4 Kids charity.

The house may win in Las Vegas, but this weekend children who have lost their hair as a result of illness and have received wigs and support services from Wigs 4 Kids will be the big winner.

The Nautical Mile Venetian Festival will host Casino Nights from 7-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Kolping Center on Jefferson.

Admission is only $5 to play a variety of casino games, with proceeds benefitting Wigs 4 Kids and the Nautical Mile Merchants Association.

In addition to the casino games, there will be a raffle with prizes including:

  • First prize: Diamond bracelet from Maloof's, valued at $3,000
  • Second prize: Nautical Mile Merchants Association gift certificates, valued at $800
  • Third prize: St. Clair Shores Country Club "Four-4-Fore" dinner and 18 holes of golf with cart, a $400 value.
Tickets are one for $5, or five for $20. Tickets are available at the Kolping Center and the Wigs 4 Kids Wellness Center at 30126 Harper Ave.

"It's a great, fun evening," said Jennifer Fisher, Wigs 4 Kids development director. "We make it easy to support (Wigs 4 Kids)."
