Senior Center Collecting Change for Typhoon Victims

Donations for the typhoon-ravaged Philippines are being accepted at the Senior Center for Active Adults.

The Senior Center of the Shores Board is organizing a fundraising drive for the victims of the Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines at the Senior Center for Active Adults.

According to an email from St. Clair Shores Senior Center Coordinator Sue Fickau, some Filipino members of the Senior Center for Active Adults have family members that have been affected by the typhoon.

Fickau is inviting residents and concerned members of the community to donate spare change by placing it in a large jar at the center. Funds will be collected through the end of December.
