Volunteers Needed for Metropark Cleanup
Metro Beach is holding its 21st Annual Earth Week Cleanup Day. Meet at the Nature Center and get ready to help make the park a more beautiful place. Litter, including fishing line and plastic bags, is a danger to wildlife. You're invited to volunteer and keep the park safer for wildlife and more beatuiful and healthy for all.
Check in first thing in the morning for assignments, then everyone meets back at the maintenance building to lunch. Volunteers may also choose to go out and help clean up more in the afternoon. Park admission is waived for volunteers.
For ages 9 and up.
