The St. Clair Shores Lakers Unified High School hockey team is preparing for the coming year with a tastefest Sunday at the
Nearly 17 restaurants and bakeries from St. Clair Shores, and surrounding communities, will offer a variety of delicacies to sample during the event.
The Tastefest is one of many fundraisers the team - comprised of students from , and - holds during the year. The only financial support the team receives from the districts is busing from , according to Suzanne Pode, event coordinator.

In addition to food, there will drawings and raffles for prizes including gift cards, watches and a barbecue.
The Lakers season begin Nov. 1.
