Michigan Humane Society Holds 23rd Annual Mutt March

The Michigan Humane Society will hold its 23rd Annual Mutt March at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House. Animal lovers can stroll the grounds of the historic estate and enjoy a family friendly day while helping raise funds for the MHS and its goal to find homes for animals.

Individual walkers and teams can register, set up personalized web pages and collect donations online at www.michiganhumane.org/muttmarch. Pre-registration is not necessary. All walkers who raise $156 or more – the average cost for MHS care for an animal in need – will receive an official Mutt March T-shirt. The first 600 four-legged walkers will receive a Mutt March bandana.

Several course lengths are available, and water stops will be provided for people and their pets. For anyone walking with his or her pet, please bring current vaccination records and keep dogs on leashes at all times.

For more information, call 1-866-MHUMANE (648-6263), Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or visit www.michiganhumane.org.
