Interfaith Prayer Service to Celebrate International Peace Day

Join with people throughout the world on this day to pray for peace. People of all faiths and cultures are invited to a prayer service to celebrate International Day of Prayer for Peace. Bishop Tom Gumbleton will lead this service and feature the Detroit Dearing Dance Company and the Capuchin Soup Kitchen Choir. This evening is sponsored by the Capuchin ministries including the Capuchin Soup Kitchen and the Solanus Casey Center. Security and lighted parking will be available. Churches, groups or community centers that RSVP by September 19 and then bring a delegation of at least 10 people to the service will receive Batik Peace Hangings, suitable for doors or hallways. To reserve your peace art and to register for participation, contact Sally McCuen at 313.579.2100, ext.149.
