Join us Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 7:00 PM for a presentation by Jill Best from the Detroit Institute of Arts Speakers Bureau on Faberge: The Rise and Fall. This overview of the exhibition, which is currently at the DIA until January 21, features more than 200 precious objects from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, home of the largest Faberge collection in the United States. The show traces Karl Faberge’s rise to fame and his privileged relationship with the Russian aristocracy. This free illustrated lecture is presented as part of the Joseph Laurence Maison program series.
