On November 7, 2012, Tom was involved in a horrible car accident in South Dakota. He was on a pheasant hunting trip with some of his good friendsand fellow Shriners. It is believed that they failed to stop at a stop sign and were hit by a semi truck. The driver, Wesley Frasard, and the three other passengers including, William Petrocy, Nikolaos Andreopoulos, and Ledger Frasard all passed because of the accident. Thomas is currently in critical but stable condition in SICU (surgical intensive care unit) in Minnesota. This is to help raise money for family travel expenses and Tom's medical bills. If you cannot attend any of the fundraisers, the Shriner's have set up a bank account at any Fifth Third Bank in Thomas Edward Thorngate's name if you would like to make a donation. Every donation will help.
