Bowl Against Domestic Violence

The Bowl Against Domestic Violence Fundraiser which supports I Am Somebody is being held at Lakeshore Lanes, November 17, 2013, Sunday at 12:00 p.m.

The format of the fundraiser is a bowling tournament along with other activities that will aid in raising money. Teams of five can register $100 per team, or individuals $20 per person and $15 for children 17 and under which includes at least two games, shoes, pizza and a drink. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and several other raffles offering unique items helping to raise money for I Am Somebody.

This will be a great opportunity to increase the awareness of domestic violence in the community. The event will allow people to learn about domestic violence while having fun. We hope that by having this event there will be more awareness throughout the community about domestic violence.

All of the money raised will go to I Am Somebody.

I Am Somebody provides domestic violence and sexual assault services to women in the Metropolitan Detroit area. Its mission is to provide safety and empowerment to victims of domestic violence and sexual assaults. This includes working to eliminate sexual victimization and domestic violence through shelter, treatment, education and social change.

Monetary donations will be accepted at the event and online atwww.iamsomebodyorg.org/blank.html. We are also seeking volunteers and sponsors.
