Shores Optimist Club Celebrates Local Champions
13th annual Champions Banquet held at Blossom Heath in St. Clair Shores on Wednesday evening.
The hosted the 13th annual Champions Banquet Wednesday evening at to honor a handful of worthy recipients.
Among the honorees were a collection of talented and stellar high school students, as well as a state champion hockey team, and four citizens whose efforts were worthy of the Optimist Club's prestigious Champions Award.
The Champions Award honorees were Matt Ahearn, Bob Hovis, Robert Stewart and Kathleen Joerin.

The presentations were preceded by a gourmet dinner and the opportunity to bid on a variety of items in a silent auction.
