If You Could Move Anywhere Where Would You Go?

If you could move anywhere in the country, where would you go?  Have you ever actually thought about it?  Let’s say money,  family, jobs etc are of no concern.  Where would you go?  After watching the Detroit Lions this weekend, a city with a football team is high on my list lol.  Sorry I had to take a dig at my lions.

There really are so many things that I personally have to take into account.  For instance, I am not a fan of severe weather.  Tornados and hurricanes just don’t make me feel all warm and fuzzy.  I wouldn’t mind a warmer climate, but the thought of boarding my home up for hurricane season doesn’t seem like much fun.  I really love this time of the year at home.  I couldn’t imagine a warm Christmas down south.

Another huge concern for me is the wildlife down south.  I am secure enough with my manhood to admit I don’t like snakes and spiders and anything else that crawls around and bites haha.  I recently read an article that said Arizona is home to over 18 species of venomous snakes! Consider that along with the poisonous spiders, scorpions and everything else.  Yeah count me out!  California has earthquakes and mountain lions. It never stops raining in the northwest. Florida is way too humid. Crazy people live in NY(just kidding I love New Yorkers).  I think I like Michigan!

Here in the great state of Michigan we only have 1 venomous snake and 1 venomous spider.  Most people have never seen either of them.  We have the  Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake which is extremely rare, and we have the Northern Black Widow which I have never seen in my entire life.  There are horror stories that people tell about being bitten by the brown recluse, but they are not native to Michigan.  Most of these bites are from wolf spiders.  There are a few documented cases of the brown recluse, but again they are not native and end up here from produce and other products being imported in.

Another thing I love about Michigan is that the weather is pretty mild when compared to other parts of the country (as I write this there is a thunderstorm going on in November lol).  Sure it can be cold, but it’s not like SD or Montanna!  So where would you live?  Hawaii? Texas?  Maybe the northeast like Maine?  Leave me a comment on where you’d go and why.  I’d love to hear about it!
