Tim Hortons Opens Second Location in the Shores

A second Tim Hortons opened Monday in St. Clair Shores in a former sub shop on Harper.

A steady stream of customers Monday filed into the new Tim Hortons on Harper for the first day of business for the new cafe and bake shop.

The building, which previously had been a Taco Bell and most recently a Quiznos, underwent extensive renovations, according to owner Joseph Sayah.

The exterior reflects the new color scheme, signage and awnings for Tim Hortons. Inside, contractors gutted the building down to the studs and ripped up the floor.

"Lots of customers said we needed another (Tim Hortons) in this area," said Sayah, who owns the other in the city. "There was customer demand."

Sayah said the new store employs 25 people, has free WiFi and features a fireplace and television—one of four Tim Hortons in Michigan to have this new concept.
