Shores Pubs Ready to "Go Green"

CK gives a sampling of some of the top spots for St. Patrick's Day fun in St. Clair Shores.

St. Patrick's Day is fast approaching, and the nightspots in St. Clair Shores are gearing up to go green with fun.

Leaping into the fun like a fueled-up leprechaun is . Opening at 9 a.m., general manager Barry Lindquist and his staff have a full lineup of St. Patty's party fun.

"We just finalized everything, and of course there'll be surprises throughout the day, but if you're looking for a traditional Irish fun for all, this is your place to be," he tells Patch.

Irish eyes will be smiling all day at G. Willie's with green beer, Irish music, traditional corned beef sandwiches and dinner plates, Irish nachos, bagpipers and a ton of swag.

If you're looking for good Irish beer, G. Willies will be your mecca for the day as it's all on special. You can grab Conway's Irish Ale from Great Lakes Brewing for $3.50 a pint or $12 a pitcher, or McSorely's Ale for $3 a pint or $10 a pitcher. Of
course, Guinness, Killian's and Murphy's Ale will be on special, too. Pony up $4.75 for the warming tastes of Jameson, Bushmills and Bailey's, too.

Christine Mulrenin at thinks their party will be shamrockin' and rollin' starting at 11 a.m. "There's no cover and free parking for everyone, plus they we'll be featuring green beer, Jell-o shots, corned beef and Cabbage, Irish stew, shot specials, and bagpipers throughout the day," she informs us. Feeling froggy? Leap into a $3 Guinness draft or a $5 Irish car bomb, too.

Over at the tent has been erected and their crew is ready for the crowd their annual party brings. Opening at 7 a.m., the venue will serve Irish breakfasts, corned beef sandwiches, and other Irish food favorites and, of course, green beer and Irish whiskey will be flowing.

is taking the leap to open at noon for those who want to let out their inner leprechaun. From open to 9 p.m. they'll have $1 green beer, and then a DJ will kick out the party tunes.

From open to close Coyote Station will offer $2 domestic beers, corned beef dinners and sandwiches, $5 Irish car bombs and a bunch of giveaways. Keep your eyes open too for a special little green visitor with a pot of gold, too.

is going green with their St. Patrick's Day party starting at 7 a.m. They are offering free green eggs and ham with beverage purchase from 7-10 a.m., and the Miller Girls will be on hand with free St. Patty's themed swag. Bagpipers will make appearances, and DJ Ru-Lee will be spinning starting at 9 p.m. among all the green beer.

is opening in the Shores at 9 a.m. and will keep their party going until 2 a.m. They expect to have lots of green beer on tap and flowing for their revelers, and lots of surprises through the day.

Head out to for traditional corned beef and cabbage specials, drink specials and—of course—green beer!
