Great Escape: Shorian Taste Fest

Let others do the cooking Sunday and help the Lake Shore Quaterback Club.

A wide array of restaurants from St. Clair Shores and neighboring communities will be sampling their fare at the second Sunday at .

The annual event is hosted by the Quarterback Club and raises funds for 's football teams.

"This is the biggest fundraiser we have each year, and it is one of the funnest," said Bobby Foston, varsity representative.

Funds raised from the taste fest and auction were used by the Quarterback Club to purchase items for the football teams including jerseys, equipment and equipment for the coaches.

More than 30 restaurants will fill the banquet hall including local restaurants such as , the and , along with chains that are in the area including Del Taco, Starbucks and T.G.I. Friday's from Troy.

The buzz is starting to grow for this year's event with more than 450 tickets that have been pre-sold, according to Craig Manning, president of Quarterback Club.

The Taste Fest will be held from 1-5 p.m. Sunday at Barrister Gardens, 24225 Harper. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
