Giovanni Returns to the Baking Business

The owner of the former Giovanni Baker is returning to the kitchen after nearly one year of retirement.

Customers of the former Giovanni Baker who have missed one of his signature items, cannoli, will be able to have them for the holiday season this year.

Giovanni Evola hung-up his apron last year after nearly 20 years of serving freshly made breads, pastries and cakes.

He is returning to the kitchen this holiday season with his classic cannoli recipe at Pasta é Pasta, 48712 Gratiot Ave., Chesterfield Township.

Mini and large size cannoli, as well as cannoli kits, will be available for order. A new flavor, pumpkin spice, is now available at Pasta é Pasta. The wholesale company is owned by Carlo De Angelis, Evola’s brother-in-law.
