Cool City Plans Nautical Mile Pub Crawl

Six bars and restaurants will be participating in the Sept. 15 event along the Nautical Mile in St. Clair Shores.

The St. Clair Shores Cool City Committee is giving people a chance to experience six Nautical Mile bars and restaurants during its Lakeside Luau Pub Crawl fundraiser.

The event Sept. 15 will give participants an opportunity to visit and enjoy the diverse tastes and menus of the establishments along the Nautical Mile while supporting Cool City events and activities.

"We see it as part of our responsibilities as committee to do cool things in the community and highlight the great things St. Clair Shores has to offer," said Sarah Roberts, chair of the Cool Cities Committee. "We are also highlighting the great amenities the Nautical Mile has to offer."

The Pub Crawl starts at 6 p.m. with appetizers provided at the six locations, and then buses will be providing transportation between the locations.

Participating restaurants and bars are Brownie's on the Lake, , , , and .

For the duration of the event, drink specials will be available for participants.   

Proceeds from the event will be used to continue projects including beautification project at 12 Mile Road and Little Mack, purchasing recycle bins for city-based events, putting up bike racks throughout the city and supporting St. Clair Shores Business EXPO and the St. Clair Shores Green Fair.

“This fundraiser is about raising awareness of our great city, getting people out and about and talking with their community members and helping our committee raise money so we can continue doing cool things for our city,” Bob Fetter, a volunteer member of the committee is heading up the Pub Crawl said.
