Capt. Dan's Fishing Report: Mixed Result on the Lake

Anglers who venture out on the waterways this weekend will have to deal with a variety of precipitation and spotty fishing, according to Capt. Dan Chimelak.

He has had reports of anglers catching their limit one day and the next day only getting one or two fish.

"It's a mixed bag," said Chimelak, owner of.

He has heard that anglers have had some luck offshore near Ginos Surf and Metro Beach Metropark. There has also been some good early-morning fishing near Selfridge Air National Guard Base.

The reports aren't much better if you take a drive. Chimelak has heard about the same "mixed bag" of fishing in Saginaw Bay and the Canadian side of Lake St. Clair.
