Hungry Howie's Goes Pink for Breast Cancer

The St. Clair Shores store will deliver pizza in pink boxes throughout the month of October, with a portion of each purchase benefiting the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

The pink pizza box is back.

Now in its fourth year, Hungry Howie’s "Love, Hope & Pizza" campaign is once again raising money and awareness for the fight against breast cancer.

“The Love, Hope & Pizza campaign has become something we are known for in the restaurant and franchising industries and we are so proud of what we have accomplished over the last several years,” said Jeff Rinke, vice president of marketing, in a release. “It’s not only something that our employees and franchise owners look forward to every year, but it’s also an event our customers anticipate. So many Americans are affected by breast cancer and we are happy to recognize National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Love, Hope & Pizza.”

For every pizza purchased during the month of October, Hungry Howie’s will make a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. In the last three years, Hungry Howie’s has raised almost $500,000 for the foundation. This year, the goal is to add another $250,000 to that total.

Throughout October, participating Hungry Howie’s locations will serve pizzas in bright pink boxes featuring the breast cancer awareness ribbon. Customers can add a $1 donation to their Hungry Howie’s order, which will go directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Donors will receive a pink Love, Hope & Pizza wristband bracelet as a token of appreciation.
