Aspiring actors and actresses from St. Clair Shores, who were extras in the movie Family Weekend, will be able to see themselves on the big screen this weekend for a limited engagement showing of the movie at the Birmingham 8 theater.

The movie starring Kristin Chenoweth and Matthew Modine was filmed at Lakeview High School and other locations in Macomb County in 2011 with the stars and a number of Macomb County extras.

“We got such great treatment from everyone in Michigan and especially Macomb County,” said producer Adam Saunders of Footprint Features, in a release.  “Everyone we came in contact with went out of their way to make us feel safe and comfortable.  They really set the tone for a great project and the film reflects that.”
