Great Escape: Local Band Competing at Hard Rock

Every week we feature a different "escape" for people in the Shores. These weekly "escapes" provide ideas for well-deserved breaks.

Find a sitter for the kids this Friday night and head down to the Hard Rock Cafe in Detroit to check out the five bands competing in the Battle of the Bands.

Residents of the Shores will have extra reason to attend the show at 8 p.m. Friday as resident Levi Moore, who is the lead singer of Levi Moore & The Difference, as one of the final five bands competing to represent "Detroit Rock City" nationally for the opportunity to play during Hard Rock Calling 2011 this June in London.

Levi Moore & The Difference will be competing against The Wall Clocks, The Science Fair, Daniel Harrison & The $2 Highway and Evening in Red.

And best of all, there is no cover charge for the show.
