"The Wiz" Takes the Stage at South Lake

Ease on down the road for the Drama Club's presentation of "The Wiz."

The contemporary remake of "The Wizard of Oz," which was made popular in 1970s by Diana Ross and Michael Jackson, is being presented Friday and Saturday by nearly 40 South Lake High School, Middle School and elementary students.

Director Arlene Schoenherr, and music director Eleonore Ellero-Groth, have spent the past six weeks in rehearsals preparing for the show.

For the second year in-a-row, South Lake junior Josiah Baker has choreographed the show.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $7 for students.
