Nautical Mile Chili Cookoff

Get ready for "the hottest night in town." That's right, it's time for the 12th Annual Nautical Mile Chili Cook-off. Things will heat up from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at Blossom Heath Inn.

Do you think your chili merits an award? Consider entering your recipe in the competition. There are a variety of categories, including best chili in individual and restaurant categories, best wild game chili, best decorated station, best name, President's Choice award (chosen by the Nautical Mile president), Mayor's Choice (picked by the mayor), and the People's Choice Award.

Contestants don't need to pay an entry fee; simply fill out an application (Visit www.nauticalmile.org or call 586-772-4200 and ask for Sue or Niki.) and arrive at 5 p.m. with two gallons of hot chili.
