Library Lecture Offers History Lesson on Michigan State Fair

Fans of the Michigan State Fair and history buffs will rejoice as they get a look at the long-standing tradition, which lasted 160 years, until 2009. Grosse Pointe journalist John Minnis will trace the beginnings of the fair way back in the 19th century, and copies of his book will be available for purchase at the lecture as well.

The program is part of the St. Clair Shores Historical Commission's Joseph Laurence Maison Memorial Lecture Series.
