Video: Community Gathers to Support Lake Shore Football

Nearly 800 people attended the Lake Shore Quarterback Club's Shorian Taste Fest Sunday at Barrister Gardens.

Organizers of the Quarterback Club's Shorian were pleased with the turnout and funds raised to help the high school football teams.

Nearly 800 people attended the event Sunday at to sample the fare from more than 30 restaurants from St. Clair Shores and surrounding communities.

In addition to the wide selection of food, attendees were able to enter raffles for a number of items including televisions and an iPad 2 from Best Buy.

"It was a fantastic turnout," said Craig Manning, who organized the event. "It was awesome, better than last year."

A team of judges including Mayor Robert Hison; Candice Rusie, councilwoman; Greg Esler, parks and recreation director; St. Clair Shores Police Chief Michael Walleman; and Edward Cardenas, St. Clair Shores Patch editor, honored selected restaurants.
