Stamp Out Hunger Drive, Civic Carnival and Green Events Coming up This Weekend

Looking for something to do in the Shores this weekend? Here are some suggestions.

A number of events are planned this weekend in St. Clair Shores including:

  • The Stamp Out Hunger food drive, residents can leave a sturdy bag containing non-perishable foods, such as canned soup, canned vegetables, pasta, peanut butter, rice or cereal, next to their mailbox prior to the time of regular mail delivery. All food collected will be distributed throughout Macomb County. Volunteers can help sort the food at the St. Clair Shores Post Office after 1 p.m. Saturday.
  • Civic Arena carnival runs through Sunday.
  • The Lakeside Palette Club of St. Clair Shores presents its 66th spring art exhibit and sale at the Chip Shotz at the St. Clair Shores Country Club through May 31.
  • The Yardners Annual Native Plant Sale Saturday at the Selinsky-Green Farmhouse Museum behind the St. Clair Shores Library.
  • St. Joan of Arc Green Team is hosting an electronic recycling event from 10 a.m - 2 p.m. Saturday. A $5 donation is requested per carload.
  • Lakeview High School Drive One for Your School fundraiser at 10 a.m. Saturday at the high school.
  • The VFW Bruce Post is hosting an "Entertainment Extravaganza" with Marvin Gaye, Donna Summer, Barbra Striesand and Neil Diamond tribute artists at 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $20 at the door.
