St. Clair Shores Police Host Emergency Blood Drive

The St. Clair Shores Police Department is joining with the American Red Cross to host an emergency blood drive Wednesday at the police station.

The St. Clair Shores Police Department will host an emergency blood drive from 8 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the police station.

According to the city's Facebook page, winter storm Nemo forced the cancellation of 160 American Red Cross blood drives in eight states. This resulted in a shortfall of more than 6,600 units of blood and platelets.

All blood types are needed, but the Red Cross is urging those with blood types O negative, B negative and A negative to donate.

To schedule an appointment, call 877-505-9527.
