St. Clair Shores Firefighters to Hold Bowling Tournament for Charity

The St. Clair Shores Firefighters Union, IAFF Local 1744, will hold their annual charity bowling tournament on May 18 at Shore Lanes.

Members of the St. Clair Shores Firefighters Union IAFF Local 1744, and the community, will take to the lanes May 18 for the annual charity bowling tournament at Shore Lanes.

This will be the 22nd tournament the firefighters have held to benefit local charities.

Proceeds will be donated to the Great Lakes Burn Camp, and other local charities. Last year the union was able to donate $15,000 to the camp from proceeds raised through the tournament.

Mike Longnecker, director of the Great Lakes Burn Camp, told Patch that it was one of the top three donations the camp has received.

This year there will be two sessions at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
