Shorian Taste Fest Winners Named, Late Volunteer Honored

Supporters of the Lake Shore Quarterback Club Sunday sampled the taste of 25 restaurants in St. Clair Shores, and neighboring communities, for the annual Shorian Taste Fest.

Speciality pizzas, freshly made tacos and made-to-order waffle cones were just some of the dishes served by the 25 restaurants that participated in the Shorian Taste Fest Sunday at Barrister Gardens.

A panel of judges selected the top dishes at the event. They selected:

  • Best Drink: Starbucks
  • Best Dessert: Cathy’s Homemade
  • Best Entrée: Pegasus Tavern
  • Best Appetizer: Little Z’s BBQ
  • Coaches Choice: Famous Dave’s
  • People’s Choice: The Boat Works

In addition to raising funds for the Lake Shore football team through admission, raffles and the auction of a Robert Griffin III Washington Redskins jersey, members of the Lake Shore Quaterback Club and the football team wore stickers with "E S" to honor volunteer Ed Siecinski, who died shortly after last year's Taste Fest.
