Shores Ready to Celebrate With Bob Seger

Bob Seger kicks off three shows at the Palace of Auburn Hills Tuesday, and while the singer is well known around the world for being from the Motor City, St. Clair Shores can claim a special moment his life.

While he may be known for his "Night Moves," or having his song "Like A Rock" used in Chevrolet commercials, in the early 2000s Seger's sailboat was making front page news.

The rocker won the Port Huron to Mackinac sailboat race in 2001 and 2002 with his boat "Lightning," which was based at .

While he may sing more about "Hollywood Nights" than celebrating in the Shores, Patch would like any residents who attend any of Seger's three shows to share their photos from the concert on Facebook or in the comment section of the story.
