Five things to get your day started in St. Clair Shores.

Here are a few items to help you get your day started.

1. The short work week starts with some cooler temperatures according to the forecast from National Weather Service. There will be partly sunny skies with a high near 69. Winds will be from the northeast between 10 and 17 miles per hour, with gusts up to 25 miles per hour.

2. School is back in session today. Keep an eye out for kids traveling to and from school.

4. Jefferson Middle School and Lakeview High School parents will have an opportunity to hear from Joel Penton, a former Ohio State University football player and motivational speaker. Penton will be joined by musician Ryan Holliday at 7 p.m. Tuesday in thSchaublin Auditorium.

5. St. Clair Shores City Council meets at 7 p.m. tonight in . Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel will be addressing council. A proposal for a second story addition and enclosure of existing outdoor seating at Csharlie Restaurant will also be considered.
