Shores Day Planner: Sept. 30

Here are a few items to help get your day started.

1. The National Weather Service is predicting a 70 percent chance of precipitation today, so showers are likely before 2 p.m. It will be cloudy throughout the day, and the temperature will fall to around 48 degrees by 5 p.m. The evening low will be around 42 degrees.

2. The city championship for football is up for grabs tonight as South Lake takes on Lakeview. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at South Lake's athletic field.

3. Bombshell Bridal Botique is holding a trunk show. The appointment-only event starts Friday and runs through Saturday, Oct. 8. Every wedding gown purchased during the event is discounted 15 percent, and every bride who   purchases a gown, will receive a gift bag filled with goodies worth over $100. 4. Parent-Teacher Guild is holding a mom-to-mom sale at 9 a.m. Saturday. No strollers are allowed. Admission is $2 for early birds at 8:30 a.m., or $1 after 9 a.m.
