Shores Day Planner: Sept. 13

Five things to get your day started in St. Clair Shores.

Here are a few items to help you get your day started.

1. The National Weather Service is forecasting another warm day for the Shores. There is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day, with a high near 80. There will be a west, southwest wind around 16 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 25 miles per hour.

2. It should be another great day to take a cruise on Lake St. Clair. The boating forecast from the National Weather Service is calling for southwest winds 15 to 20 knots, becoming west 10 to 15 knots. Waves will be 1 to 2 feet.

3. Metro Beach hosted a memorable event on 9/11 that included floating lanterns launched at dusk.

4. There is still time to order tickets for the Nautical Mile Pub Crawl Thursday night. To purchase the $20 tickets email coolcitycommitteescs@gmail.com or call Bob Fetter at (586) 764-0931. Tickets will also be available the day of the event at each of the restaurants.

5. Incorrect tax information was sent to the city of St. Clair Shores and was included in the summer bills sent to residents in the Lakeview School District. Taxpayers in Lakeview will have a credit on their summer 2012 tax bills.
