Here are a few items to get your week started.

1. The National Weather Service is forecasting partly sunny skies with a high near 45, and a 30 percent chance of rain. There will be an east wind between 8 and 10 miles per hour.

  • A request for site plan approval for a commercial building, with a drive-thru, on the southwest corner of Harper and Elizabeth,
  • Council will also be considering a request from the Historical Commission to launch a historical marker program recognizing homes and businesses built prior to 1952.

3. will be participating in the annual "Yellow Ribbon Program," which distributes suicide prevention information to students. The program is sponsored by the Macomb Intermediate School district and a number of count agencies.

4. is donating 20 percent of proceeds from diners who present a fundraising flyer to Operation Homefront, which provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of service members. The flyer can be found at www.olgas.com.
