Here are a few items to get your Thursday started.

1. That wintery, four-letter word is back in the forecast today by National Weather Service, yes s-n-o-w. Rain and snow showers are likely after 10 a.m., with a high near 45. Gusts will be as high as 20 miles per hour, and little or no snow accumulation expected.

2. Macomb County Clerk/Register of Deeds Carmella Sabaugh will start issuing veterans photo identification cards Thursday. The cards will allow veterans to get discounts at local businesses. Veterans may get a card by visiting the county clerk’s office and bringing:

  • Military Discharge Papers (such as DD214)

  • Photo identification (such as Michigan driver's license, or Michigan ID card)

  • 3. The "The Trip to Bountiful," a story set in the 1940s where an elderly woman wants to return home befriends a young girl on her journey, and she reflects on her youth. A St. Clair Shores resident plays in the lead. Today's performance is at 8 p.m.
