Five things to get your day started in St. Clair Shores.

Here are a few items that may help your day get started.

1. St. Clair Shores city council returned to work Tuesday night after the holiday weekend. Patch blogged from the meeting with updates and results of votes taken by the elected body.

2. The warm weather may bring summer showers today. The National Weather Service is forecasting scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon with a high near 87.

3. The boating forecast from the National Weather Service calls for winds at 5 to 10 knots with mostly cloudy skies in the afternoon. If you are on the water, be mindful of showers and thunderstorms forecast for the afternoon. 

4. Veterans Memorial Park will be filled with music tonight from The Shy for the first show in the annual Summer Concert Series presented by Michelob Ultra. The tunes start at 7:30 p.m.
