Five things to get your day started in St. Clair Shores.

Here are a few items that may help you get you back into the work week after the long holiday weekend.

1. All city and county offices will be open after being closed Monday for Independence Day. Trash collection is delayed one day due to the holiday.

2. The warm weather continues as the National Weather Service is forecasting a mostly sunny day with a high near 88. There is a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms in the evening.

3. It should be a calm day on the water according to the National Weather Service, which is forecasting southwest winds 5 - 10 knots with waves around one foot.

4. The Macomb Chamber Music Society and Shorewood Kiwanis present a classical music concert at 7 p.m. in Wahby Park.

5. It's back to work for the city council Tuesday. They will meet 7 p.m. and will consider a contract to maintain police mobile and prep radios along with the purchase of items including automotive parts for the department of public works, turnout suits for the fire department and rock salt.
