Five things to get your day started in St. Clair Shores.

Here are five items to help you get your day, and weekend, started.

1. The Fourth of July weekend is finally here, and it starts with a perfect summer day with sunshine and a high of 84 according to the National Weather Service. There is a chance of showers Saturday, with a high of 89. Sunday and Monday are expected to be partly cloudy, with highs in the mid-80s.

2. With warm temperatures forecast, why not plan on taking the boat out to cool down? The National Weather Service is forecasting south winds from 5-10 knots Friday with waves around one foot. Isolated showers are possible Friday night and Saturday afternoon, with southwest winds 5-15 knots during day Saturday. The last two days of the long weekend will have the winds coming out of northwest at 5-15 knots and waves around one foot both days.
