Shores Day Planner: August 29

Here are a few items to help you get into the work week.

1. This weekend's great weather will continue today according to the National Weather Service. The forecast is for mostly sunny skies, with a high near 79. There will also be a northwest wind between 3 and 5 miles per hour.

2. Winds will be from the northwest today on Lake St. Clair 5 to 10 knots according to the National Weather Service, with waves around 1 foot. 

3. The countdown has begun for the Harper Charity Cruise. Are you going, and where is the best spot to watch the classic cars?

4. Firefighters from the Shores and neighboring communities competed on the diamond Sunday to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
