Five things to get your day started in St. Clair Shores.

Here are a few items that may help you get your day started.

1.  It should start to feel more like summer in the Shores this week. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures are forecast to be near 80 with mostly sunny skies. As the day progresses, there will be an increased chance of showers and thunderstorms.

2. If you are heading out on the water, the National Weather Service is forecasting southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Waves should be around 1 foot.

3. Wondering what is happening up in Lansing? State Sen. Steve Bieda will be hosting coffee hours from 9:30-10:30 a.m. today in the to discuss local and state issues with residents.

4. The granddaddy of all fireworks displays will be held tonight. The Target Fireworks are scheduled to blast off at 10:06 p.m. over the Detroit River.
