Schedule for St. Clair Shores Christmas Tree Lighting Released

Santa' reindeer, live entertainment, hot chocolate and donuts and the arrival from Santa and Mrs. Claus are planned for Friday's tree lighting.

The St. Clair Shores Activities Committee and Parks and Recreation Department have released the schedule for city's annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony this Friday.

Schedule of events include:

  • Families can visit with Santa’s reindeer outside City Hall from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
  • City Hall will open at 6 p.m. for hot chocolate and donuts provided by the Optimist Club of St. Clair Shores and the Miss St. Clair Shores Pageant.
  • Country singer Joey Vee will perform two songs at 7 p.m. and will be followed by performances by Little Miss St. Clair Shores, Miss Teen St. Clair Shores and Miss Michigan Angela Venditti. There will also be caroling and music provided by Elite Entertainment.
  • Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will arrive by fire truck about 7:20 p.m. in front of City Hall. After Santa receives the traditional key to the city, he will light the city Christmas tree.
  • Dockside Cafe will host Santa and Mrs. Claus after the ceremony to receive Christmas wish lists from children.
  • The Selinsky-Green Farmhouse Museum will also be open and will be decorated for a Victorian Christmas.
