Photo Gallery: Shores Bocce Ball Named After Senior Olympian

The bocce ball courts at the St. Clair Shores Senior Activities Center was named after Gene Meyer, an active volunteer and advocate for seniors in the city who has participated in the Senior Olympics.

The recently renamed the bocce ball courts after Gene Meyer, a Senior Olympian and active volunteer.

The honor also coincided with Meyer's 80th birthday.

"I can't believe this," Meyer said. "It was a surprise."
