Patch Picks: Where to Catch Super Bowl XLV

Patch suggests some places in the Shores to huddle up to watch the big game.

Your St. Clair Shores Patch is starting a new weekly feature today called Patch Picks, highlighting editor and reader picks of great local businesses, destinations, services, organizations, ways to spend a day off, and more.  

This week Patch checks out local places to watch two of the most storied franchises in the National Football League battle in Super Bowl XLV. Fans of the Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers and even those long-suffering Detroit Lions can gather to watch the big game.

Super Bowl XLV


  • The scene: Pepperbottoms will have the games on more than 14 HDTVs and two big screens complete with stadium surround sound. Gives you the feeling you are in Cowboys Stadium for the game.

  • The scene: Watch the games on 15 50-inch and 32-inch HDTVs in a sports/nautical themed bar. If you get bored with the game, then head over to Harbor Lanes to bowl a couple of games.

  • The scene: Fans can take in the game on one of the 11 flat-screen LCD televisions strategically placed for great viewing while enjoying one of the signature, one-third-pound, flame-broiled burgers and large pizzas made with fresh ingredients.

  • The scene: Old-school bar with paneling, low lights, padded bar, bar mirrors and low ceiling are perfect place to hang out and watch the game.

  • The scene: Irish pub might be a perfect to wish your team some luck in the Super Bowl.
