Home Design Company Offers Home Makeover Contest for Military Families

SFC Floors - Decor & More is offering a home carpet makeover for one St. Clair Shores military family.

A St. Clair Shores home-design company is offering a military family in the city a carpet makeover this holiday season.

SFC Floors - Decor & More is accepting nominations of families in St. Clair Shores who may have a loved one serving overseas this Christmas.

One family will be chosen to receive 300 square feet of carpet, pad and labor, for a standard living room and hallway.

"I think this is the perfect thing we could do for those serving our country," said John Martin, office manager for SFC Floors. "It is a way to get involved and show our support of the troops."

This is the first year the new business on Harper has offered the contest.

Tom Meirow of Supreme Floor Coverings and Patricia Darin of Personal Home Design LLC - both with over 20 years of experience - came together earlier this year to establish SFC Floors - Design & More.

Together they opened a new store on Harper, north of 11 Mile, in a vacant storefront and offer a wide range of home improvement services and products.

Those interested in nominating a family should include their name, address, contact phone number and a short letter about the family.

Submissions can be sent by email to SFCfloorsdecor_more@aol.com, or by mail to SFC Floors - Decor & More, 27735 Harper Ave, St Clair Shores, MI 48081.  All submissions must be received by Dec. 24, 2001, and are subject to all GiveAway rules. The winner will be announced Jan. 1, 2012.

The Supreme Home Military Makeover rules: Christmas Carpet GiveAway is subject to the following rules. All nominees must be active duty military personnel living in St Clair Shores, MI. The GiveAway includes carpet, pad and labor only for 300 square feet (enough carpet for a standard living room and hallway.)  2 styles to choose from. Installed after 1/1/2012.
