Kiwanis to Honor Veterans, Remember Pearl Harbor and Donate Car Cruise Funds

World War II veterans are invited to attend a special breakfast Tuesday to honor the Greatest Generation and remember the 70th anniversary of Pearl Harbor. A donation from the Bruce Post VFW car cruise will also be made.

The Shorewood Kiwanis will honor members of the Greatest Generation during their meeting Tuesday at .

The breakfast meeting will remember the 70th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor and honor members of the Greatest Generation who fought in the war and contributed to the effort at home.

Joining the Kiwanis will be the members of including Post Commander Tara Perez, Senior Vice Commander Tim Litz and representatives of  Michigan Honor Flight.

During the meeting, which will include patriotic songs, will be a donation to Honor Flight Legacy of Michigan of funds raised during a classic car show at the Bruce Post in October. is raising funds to erect permanent monument in honor of all Michigan servicemen and servicewomen who served our country during World War II.
