Staff from the St. Clair Shores Senior Center for Active Adults are preparing for the upcoming apple pie fundraiser
Achatz pie crusts arrived Friday afternoon at the center, which will be used in the handmade pies. Volunteers will peel apples starting Sunday, and bake the pies at the center.
The pies will be sold Sept. 20 and 21 at the Made in Michigan Market. Proceeds from the sale of the pies benefit the senior meal program at the center.
